In March 2007 Gigi Lönn Stråle, SWY4, REN01 with family went to Thailand for a vacation. Before going there, we contacted our “sisterorganisation” of Nippon Maru, SSEAP, and got in contact with an ex-PY who could help us to donate some handicap equipment to children in Thailand. It´s quite easy for us to get this equipment from hospitals in Sweden, but it´s more difficult to transport and deliver it to the right persons and organisations. The response we got from Thailand was very good, and Mr. Visit Dejkumtorn helped us to arrange this from Bangkok. Two different organisations shared what we brought, “Christian foundation for disabled children” and “Fordec”, a big organisation that helps more than 30.000 children all over Thailand.
